The Virtual Patient

By operating a virtual medical practice, gynecologists are able to field clinical cases on the Internet and to accept "treatment" of them. Before undertaking treatment, the physician must first record the medical case history by conducting a "dialogue" with the patient and carrying out diagnostic procedures. Additional sections of the report include diagnosis, the choice of the optimal therapy, and the further care of the patient. Decisions about diagnosis, therapy, and follow-up are made by choosing one or more options. The software gives feedback on the selected options. After completion of the "treatment", a graphical overview makes it possible to compare the decisions of the user with those of all previous users.
